APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR ADMISSION INTO PROFICIENCY CERTIFICATE IN FRENCH LANGUAGE


DURATION                        10 Weeks FOR INTENSIVE CLASSES (EVENING CLASSES)
                                                                                                                                                OR
                                                20 weeks/3 MONTHS FOR SEMI-INTENSIVE CLASSES (WEEKEND CLASSES)


LEVEL TO BE ATTAINED            A2 LEVEL OF COMMON EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK FOR LANGUAGES (CECR)

INTERNATIONAL EXAM:         DELF A2 (MARCH & JUNE every year)

OBJECTIVES: Achieve bilingualism to- enhance employability & gain admission into Nigerian, French & Francophone universities. Learning a language is more than an intellectual challenge – it is a stimulating and rewarding experience that enriches one’s life. In today’s competitive marketplace, a second international language is a must. This programme is aimed at helping adults learn a foreign language in an interactive and friendly setting, participate in realistic dialogues and conversational activities, and enhance their speaking skills with comprehension activities and written exercises.


DURATION:
Option 1: Evening classes
Monday- Friday: 3pm-5pm
Intensive: 10 weeks
2 hours daily,  10 hours/Week =40 hours/Month x 2 months +2 weeks
Total = 100 hours
Option 2: Weekend classes
Saturdays 9am-2pm
Semi-intensive:  20 weeks
5 hours every Saturday = 20hours/month x 5 months
Total = 100 hours
Level to be attained:  A2. This level corresponds to the Intermediate level of Common European Framework for languages in the following competencies:      Compréhension orale, compréhension écrite, expression orale, expression écrite, culture
                                                                et société.(oral and written comprehension, oral and written expression, culture and Society)

Public / who can register?
• Staff of FUNAI, interested students of FUNAI or other institutions, school leavers, Graduates, Company executives, civil/public servants, security/Military & Para-Military personnel
Admission requirements:
·         Minimum Age : 16years
·         Possess at least 4 ‘O’ Level CREDIT PASSES in WAEC/SSCE/GCE
·         Those not having ‘O’ Level may register, on condition that they show interest

APPLICATION FEE:  Five thousand Naira (N5, 000.00) only.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
1.      Go to the FUNAI Website www.funai.edu.ng, and create your account by clicking on “Start French Application” or “Sign up”. You will be required to supply your email address and other required information.
2.      After creating an Account, login with your Application No. and Password and follow the necessary processes to capture your personal information and other required information.
  1. Generate your Remita Retrieval Number (RRN) and activate your RRN on the FUNAI website before making payment. Instructions on generating your RRN will be automatically displayed on the current page on your browser. Please read carefully and note that your RRN MUST BE ACTIVATED on the FUNAI website before payment is made.
4.      After payment, a 16-digit Access PIN will be sent to your Mobile Phone. Use this PIN on the ePortal to enable you complete all remaining and necessary sections of your Online Application.
5.      Ensure all sections of your application form are correctly filled, and click on “Complete Application” to submit your application to our online server. Our server shall acknowledge receipt of your form by sending as SMS to your Mobile Phone. Print two coloured copies of your Application Form.
