Presenting
a Cheque of One Million Naira (N1000000) to the Vice Chancellor, the
Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. C.E Mba and one of the handlers of the
FUNAI Debate Team, Mrs. Chioma Anorue stated that the cheque was a
fulfillment of the promises made by the Executive Governor of Ebonyi
State, His Excellency Engr. Dave Nweze Umahi during the competition.
Professor
Nwajiuba in his remarks congratulated the debate team for making the
University proud in the comity of tertiary institutions in Ebonyi state,
promising that the University authorities would support the team to win
more debating laurels while also approving the establishment of the
FUNAI Debating Club. The Vice Chancellor further eulogized the sincerity
of Engr. Umahi in making good his promises to the debaters during the
centenary debate competition.
