The
Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB, has expressed
satisfaction with the operations of the School of Foundation Studies
(SFS) of the Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo (FUNAI).

The
Registrar of JUPEB,
Professor Duro Ajeyalemi, made the assertion during a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor, Professor Chinedum Nwajiuba, in the course of an inspection of facilities in the FUNAI School of Foundation Studies, Abakaliki campus.

The
Registrar who was represented by the Head of Academic Affairs, Mrs.
Agatha Bosini, commended FUNAI for the standard of facilities in the
school and the quality of teachers and urged it to sustain the standard.
“Your centre is large enough with multi-media facilities and we are
satisfied with what we have seen”, Mrs. Bosini commented.
She
further said they had observed the teachers and students in the
classrooms, adding that the atmosphere and facilities in the centre were
conducive for leaching and learning.
Mrs.
Bosini disclosed that the board of JUPEB had approved that their past
questions be uploaded on their website for students to access to enable
them revise them for their examinations coming up from June 7th to 17th, 2016.
In his
response, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Nwajiuba thanked them for the
favourable report on the activities of the School of Foundation Studies,
adding that the University would do everything possible to sustain the
programme.
Professor
Nwajiuba said that a new director for the school in the person of Dr.
Benedict O. Nweke had been appointed at the end of the tenure of the
former director, Professor Johnson Urama, in order to ensure that the
school was taken to higher heights.
The team
was accompanied to the Vice Chancellor’s office by the new acting
director, Dr. Benedict O. Nweke and the out-going director, Professor
Johnson Urama.
